Reasons To Consider A Move To The Main Line

As moving and storage specialists in Main Line, PA, we’ve gotten to know some of the neighborhoods that make up one of the most cultured places around Philadelphia. We think the Main Line has it all: beautiful scenery, distinguished boutiques, vibrant nightlife, large spaces and some of the best cuisine around. Just past Bala Cynwyd, west of Philadelphia lies an area rich in its offerings.

Here are a few reasons to consider a move to the Main Line.

Education-  Haverford, Swarthmore and Bryn Mawr make up the Trico, a cooperative of Little Ivy League schools. Rosemont, Harcum offer small classes for all types of students interested in the arts or furthering their degree. Villanova is one of the largest and most esteemed universities in the state with thousands of undergrads, a spectacular law school and the college basketball pride of PA. Elementary, middle and high school educations are top-tier as well with Haverford High, known for their academics, and Lower Merion, known for their athletic programs.

Cuisine-  The standard fast food is available along Lancaster Ave., but tucked away on side streets are a number of tantalizing options. Vegan fusion stir-fry, gourmet burgers, Singaporean noodles, authentic Italian, fresh seafood, pub fare and many other options abound the area. With several Zagat-rated restaurants near Suburban Square, finding an exquisite meal is never more than a short drive or walk away.

Activities-  There’s plenty to do around Ardmore, Havertown and Lower Merion. Of course, the allure of Suburban Square and King of Prussia mean that there are literally hundreds of places to shop. The Haverford Arboretum is a beautiful path to walk and learn about the various trees that adorn the campus. Ardmore Music Hall and Milkboy Cafe have live music or events most nights of the week, perfect for a date or night out with the guys. During the school year, there are hundreds of collegiate sporting events that are open to the public.

With so much to do and even more to experience, it’s no wonder that we’ve moved hundreds of families to the area.  To learn more about moving to the Main Line or our movers in Doylestown, PA, click or call today!
