Long Distance Moving Service
Many movers provide long distance moving services. We offer guaranteed pick-up and delivery dates and exclusive use of the truck for long distance moving. We control the quality of this type of move by having the same crew that loads your goods, also deliver to your new home. So, unlike service with another company, there is no waiting time because you know who is coming and when. The dates are pre-established and confirmed. We offer two types of long distance service:

Split shipment- This is more cost-effective because you are sharing the ride with other families, and therefore splitting the cost of travel. There is a guaranteed pick-up date and the delivery date is scheduled prior to the move, based on the delivery locations and customer requests. Each shipment is color coded and separators are used for accuracy of delivery.

Exclusive Use- This means that we will not place anyone else’s goods on the truck the same time your goods are being moved. This service can be provided for moves to almost any state within the United States. We schedule and guarantee pick-up and delivery dates based on your schedule.
Long distance charges are based on the weight of the shipment and the total mileage to your destination point. You can roughly estimate weight by counting the number of furnished rooms in your current home and multiplying that number by 1000 lbs. This is the average weight for a standard room of furniture, based on experience. This can vary depending on how fully furnished each room actually is compared to an average. OF COURSE, a visual estimate of your home is always recommended.
There are additional transportation charges such as origination and destination, long carry, piano or organ, flights of stairs, elevator, etc. These charges, if applicable, are minor compared to the moving charge. Additional charges apply for packing, additional valuation coverage , storage, and other services requested by you that are not included in the regular long distance move.
